ABOUT OUR FURNITURE:
The destination for quality hard wood furniture and other home furnishings, with a multi-level store and showroom in Sathorn Soi 12, Abode is right in the heart of Bangkok’s bustling Central Business District. We offer an extensive range of classic and contemporary pieces for every room of your house. The east-meets-west aesthetic is brought beautifully together by European designers and Javanese craftsmen using hard woods, including teak and mahogany, recycled from old furniture, houses, floors and walls or sourced from sustainable plantations.
Born from the imaginations of Italian and Dutch designers, the furniture is constructed in Indonesia using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern treatment methods including computerised kiln drying, which minimises warping and cracks. The furniture is then meticulously finished by hand. During this process, it is sanded and treated with a natural, chemical and toxin free lacquer derived from tree sap to accentuate the texture and grain.
At our store, you are encouraged to try each piece out. Sit on the sofas and chairs, or even lie on the beds. I believe it’s important to feel relaxed in order to fully imagine how certain pieces fit in your own home.
We also carry a range of accessories, including baskets, floor mats, mirrors, table and floor lamps, vases, picture frames, candle holders, and much more.

In addition to product quality and service, sustainability is at the core of our business. Any new materials used in our furniture are certified by Trees4Trees™ and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), two non-profit organisations that promote sustainable forestry.
Established in Indonesia, Trees4Trees™ empowers local communities through partnership reforestation initiatives, including the distribution of free seedlings from high value species, including teak, mahogany, mango and other furniture grades, to local farmers and resident landowners in Indonesia. By increasing the area of community planted and owned forests, livelihood assets are created, the negative effects of deforestation are reduced, and the environment is renewed.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international multi-stakeholder organisation that focuses on standard-setting, independent certification, and labelling of forest products. This offers customers around the world the ability to choose products from socially and environmentally responsible forestry.
By entering into these programmes, we ensure that raw materials used in our products are sourced responsibly and ethically.
